NI KAZI TU... HERE ARE 3 MAJOR CHANGES NEW GOVERNOR ELECT MIKE SONKO HAS MADE IN NAIROBI JUST 1 WEEK AFTER ELECTION

Nairobi Governor-elect Mike Sonko is already hard at work with only a week after he was overwhelmingly elected by Nairobi voters.

The former Senator of Nairobi has initiated two projects under the “Operation Ng’arisha Jiji” banner and issued his first gubernatorial edict.


Youth from his non-governmental organization, Sonko Rescue Team, have embarked on an exercise of cleaning up the city.

The group kicked off the operations with clearing garbage along Aga Khan Walk within the CBD, a day after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) declared President Uhuru Kenyatta had won the presidential election.

On Tuesday, the team began to pull down posters that had been put up around the city during political campaigns.
