MOHAMMED ALI, BABU OWINO, JAGUAR, HERE ARE ALL THE NEW ENTRANTS WHO ARE LEADING IN THE 2017 GENERAL ELECTION

Elections are always known to have surprises and this year's Kenyan election has not been any different.

In the provisional results, being streamed in by the IEBC new entrants have taken major leads beating political heavyweights in a number of races. 

Some of the major surprises include;


1. Paul Ongila alias Babu Owino has taken a commanding lead in Embakassi East constituency with 39,700 against Francis Mureithi's 36,683 votes. 

2. In Nyali constituency, Journalist Mohammed Ali is leading with 22,348 against his closest challenger Said Abdalla Salim who has 13,673. 

3. The Kirinyaga County Gubernatorial race has former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru leading with 139,483 votes against Martha Karua's 105,406 votes. 

4. Starehe parliamentary seat has musician Charles Njagua leading with 57,534 votes against Steve Mbogo's 36,020 votes.
