Governor Oparanya was declared the winner by the electoral commission’s Kakamega County Returning Officer, Grace Rono, after he garnered 387,999 votes. 

Khalwale came a distant second with 134,999 votes but he has disputed these results claiming that ODM rigged the election using a computer algorithm. 

This is what Khalwale said after he was sent to an early political grave by Wycliffe Oparanya on August 8th.
