The friend, who did not wish to be named, conveyed that he later left the facility warning Mr Mwangi and the others of suspicions that the officer was planning something sinister.
“I drove off but I was called by one of our friends who told me Mwangi has been shot dead. I drove back,” the friend told reporters.
The Limuru Criminal Investigations in-charge, Mr Mwenda Itheiba, confirmed that the accused police officer has since been arrested.
“The officer is in custody to help us with investigations,” Itheiba confirmed.
