According to the residents, the dread-locked men have been giving them sleepless nights and torment them for hours for the past few days.
”A group of men dressed in jungle green police uniforms showed up in 9 police vehicles with hidden number plates. They moved from house to house ordering youth and old men to get out,” said Samuel Ombiri, the chairman of Nyumba Kumi in Mathare.
He also added that the attackers who are usually armed with machetes and guns throw tear gas canisters into the civilians homes whenever the men hesitate to come out.
Ann Onyango, a mother of two revealed how her son and his friend were beaten and left for dead.
