Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) Chairperson Sarah Serem stated that top IEBC officials will now earn Sh747,461 down from Sh765,188 per month.
Serem noted that the changes would also affect the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and chairpersons of all constitutional commissions.
Members and vice-chairpersons of all constitutional commissions will have their basic pay reduced from Sh650,000 to Sh621,250 a month.
The IEBC Chairman and the Attorney General will, however, retain their basic pay of Sh924,000 a month.
