The shocking incident is said to have been caused after an argument due to the price unga.
The 24 year-old man identified as Wilson Kamau, had asked his wife Mercy Njeri for house rent, but the wife said she had no money as she had spent everything on maize flour.
Apparently after the argument ended the couple went to sleep but on Saturday morning, May 13, around 5am, Kamau woke up and grabbed a kitchen knife and slashed the wife and child multiple times before going into hiding.
