It is said that at around 8 am on Thursday, April 20, 2017, Pastor Nicholus Kibagendi received a call from an unknown person. He picked the call and walked towards the road as he talked to the stranger.
That would be the last time his wife, Jennifer, his five kids and his congregants would see him, alive.
Jennifer waited for her husband to return home to no avail. She reported the matter to the nearest police station in Kijauri area and a search for Kibagendi who works as a steward at the Nyamira Conference Headquarters Office commenced.
After a month long search, Kibagendi's body was found in a bush 200 metres from his home with his head chopped off from the torso.
Now fresh details have emerged that point to what might have led to the suspected murder of the pastor.
